The BBC’s latest natural history spectacular is the ‘Oceans’ series, currently being screened every Wednesday evening at 8.00 p.m.
Scubapro U.K. have a long history with the BBC Natural History unit and have continued their partnership with presenter Paul Rose during the making of the current series. Paul can be seen exploring remote caves in Mallorca, spectacular Black Holes in the Bahamas and the chilly, ice covered waters of the Arctic.
He is joined on his round the world expedition by fellow explorers Phillipe Cousteau, Tooni Mahto and Lucy Blue. As an experienced polar expedition leader and a diver who has logged over 6000 dives, Paul is well qualified to lead the current expedition. With his impressive history of leading expeditions, it could be expected of him to have a laconic attitude, yet his infectious enthusiasm for the underwater environment still knows no bounds and hopefully makes TV viewers jump off the sofa and carry out their own exploration.
Scubapro U.K are proud to supply equipment for this stunning new series and wish Paul and his team the great success they deserve.

JÜRGEN FREUND was born in Dortmund, Germany in 1959. He is fondly called Yogi as Jürgen can be pronounced a million different ways causing him some shivers. He studied mechanical engineering and found out it wasn’t creative enough for his inventive mind. Instead of designing machines, he worked as an industrial photographer in Munich for 7 years. Lured by the challenge of marine wildlife photography, he acquired an underwater camera even before learning how to scuba-dive in 1981 in the cold lakes of Germany. Finally, he answered "the call of the sea" and became a full-time international freelance marine photographer in 1995. He traveled all over the world, taking acclaimed pictures published in numerous international magazines.
